Today, the RCHS Biomedical Science class took a break from the classroom to visit Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home. Students have moved into the Autopsy stage of their crime scene investigation, and our County Coroner, Stephen Timothy Patterson, and his assistant Ally, were great resources in learning about the stages after death.
Students were able to learn about the education and training required for this field, tour the embalming room and learn about how a body is preserved/prepared, and learned about preparing funeral arrangements.
Thank you to Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home for allowing us to learn about a side to this field that is not often talked about. The students learned so much!
