
The RCHS Anatomy/Physiology classes attended the Health Careers Day at WVC today in Mt. Carmel. They were able to attend sessions about Surgery, Nursing, PT, PTA, Lab, Radiology, and Sports Medicine. After, they attended a knee replacement conducted by the Orthopedic Surgeons at Wabash.



The JV Lady Tiger Softball game that was scheduled for March 12 and then March 14 has been rescheduled for Friday, April 19. This game will take place in Casey.


Seniors Genevieve Carey, Willow Conn, Sean Joyce, and Téa Cline joined Mrs. Borah in going to the Capitol in Springfield to meet Senator Plummer at the Youth Advisory Council on March 12th. While there, students participated in a mock committee in passing legislation.


Lady Tiger JV Softball's scheduled game at Casey on March 14 has been CANCELLED.


Dental Safari Company will be at RCHS on Monday, April 1. Parents may sign their student up by filling out the paper form or online. Please return any paper forms to Mrs. Wall in the high school nurse's office. Forms may be brought in prior to April 1 but are also accepted that day. Please contact Mrs. Wall if you have any further questions.



Lady Tiger JV Softball game in Casey on March 12 has been rescheduled for March 14. Start time will still be 4:30pm.


Tiger JV Baseball's slated match-up against North Clay on Saturday, March 16 at 12:30pm has been cancelled. Tiger Varsity Baseball will still play their game against North Clay at 11am that day.


RCHS held its virtual author visit with best-selling author Ruta Sepetys. RCHS Librarian Mrs. Julian facilitated the Q&A with Sepetys while classrooms tuned in. It was interesting to hear about Sepetys' writing process when constructing these amazing historical fiction novels.
The RCHS Library, along with Mrs. Julian and Mrs. Goodrum, would like to again thank ERFAE for their donation that aided in this visit.


RCHS Bands held their annual Sliva Dinner and Concert March 10 at the Olney VFW. Members of the Olney VFW Post #4226 Auxiliary helped RCHS Bands, its members, and its members' parents prepare and serve the meals. Over 200 meals were served! RCHS would like to thank Post #4226 for preparing, hosting, and helping.



GRIT Award winners for 3/3-3/10 are: Boys Track - Isaac Zwilling, Boys Tennis - Yeongrye Ju, Girls Soccer - Cali Wingert, Girls Track - Mckenna Snider, Bass Fishing - Levi Ochs, and Baseball - Derrick Steele (Not pictured: Softball - Katie Atwood). The GRIT Award is awarded to an athlete that demonstrates hustle, teamwork, and dedication. This award isn't necessarily always the highest scorer or top performer, but one that shows drive and passion to make the team better!


Olney Tiger Athletics ushers in more spring sports this week! On Tuesday, Lady Tiger Varsity Softball will host Cisne at 3:30pm while Lady Tiger JV Softball will be on the road to Casey with their game starting at 4:30pm. Saturday offers many chances to catch some Tiger sports in action. Tiger Tennis will be on the courts in Triad at 8:30am while Tiger Track will be at the Gene Armer Invite in Champaign at 11:30am. Tiger Baseball will be at North Clay with varsity taking the field at 11am and JV facing off against the Cardinals at 12:30pm. On Sunday, Tiger Bass Fishing hits the water at Newton Lake from 1-5pm. Come on out and cheer on your favorite Tigers!

🎶 SUNDAY 🎶 The RCHS Music Department will be hosting the Sliva Dinner & Concert on Sunday, March 10 from 11am-1pm at the Olney VFW. Music will be performed by the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and members of the Honors Wind Ensemble. The menu consists of homemade chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, beverages, and desserts. The cost is $10 each or $5 for those five years old and younger. Mark your calendars so you remember to come out, have some delicious food, hear some music, and support One Tiger Nation's fine arts students!


Mrs. Stallard's Computer Concepts class wrote business letters to numerous colleges requesting college pennants. Here are a couple of pictures of what students have received so far.



Mrs. Kerr's Family & Career Relationships class just completed the Clothing Care & Construction Unit. During this unit, each student used the sewing machines to create a 9-patch pillow.


The Andrew Gobczynski Big Heart Foundation is heart testing the morning of Saturday, April 6 at HSHS St. Anthony. All sophomore, junior, and senior student-athletes are eligible. This includes all fall/winter/spring sport athletes, as well as band members, cheerleaders, and the dance team. This is a free service, paid by the AGBHF and provided by HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital.
Students/parents must fill the packet out and return it to the school office by March 29. HSHS will then contact parents the following week in order to schedule a time for their student-athlete’s heart testing.
