The Class of 2024 Illinois State Scholars have been announced. To be an Illinois State Scholar, students must "perform in the top one-half of your high school class at the end of the third semester prior to graduation*, and/or score at or above the 95th percentile on the ACT or SAT; graduate from high school during the academic year in which you were selected as a State Scholar," (https://www.isac.org/students/...). Stripes Recipients for November 2023
Lady Tiger Volleyball senior Aliyah Tracy has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Kaskaskia College next school year.  Tracy had standout moments during her senior season. She was selected to both the Olney Tiger Classic and Triad Invitational all-tournament teams. Additionally, she made the Little Illini Conference All-Conference 1st Team.  Tracy was also recognized by the Illinois Volleyball Coaches Association as a 2023 Academic Girls All-State recipient. She also holds the career kill record with 632 kills.  Congratulations Aliyah on all your hard work over the years! Best of luck at Kaskaskia!
It has been a while due to the pandemic but the exchange program with Germany is back!  Any sophomore or junior who is interested in a two week exchange with Gars Germany this June needs to meet in the Commons this Thursday, December 7 during OTE.  The plan is to take students to Germany in June and then host students from Germany in the fall of next school year. This is a great opportunity to see the world and meet some new friends.  Next Thursday, December 14, there will be a parent informational meeting in the Commons at 5:30pm.   Please see Mr. Van Dyke if you have any questions.

​Three members of the RCHS Band were selected to participate in the annual ILMEA District Festival at Eastern Illinois University. Seniors Emma Wells and Aidan Gomez as well as freshman Jereme Higginbotham were selected to participate following auditions earlier this fall. They joined fellow musicians from the area as they performed at the festival. OTN is very proud of these musicians and grateful they represented RCHS so well! Congratulations!
