The RCHS Biomedical Science class had a busy November working on skills necessary to find the answers to the cause of death for their crime scene. Students first built a greater understanding for the anatomy of the organs and organ systems of the body by creating Play-Doh Humans. Then, using their knowledge they were able to conduct a Rat Autopsy to test their abilities of determine the cause, manner and mechanism of death for their specific rat. Students also learned about other signs of time of death by conducting their Maggot Man experiment and learning about Entomology. Students exposed a liver to various environments and watched for growth of one of the most common insects of decomposition, the blowfly!

Mrs. Billington's Co-op Class helped prepare the Thanksgiving Outreach Meal today. Mrs. Billington says, "These Co-op students make me incredibly proud and I am so blessed to start my work day with these amazing young people. Today, they donated their time to assist with the Thanksgiving Outreach meal. Their volunteers were so welcoming to our students and put them right to work. What I noticed most is these seniors have a heart to help others and aren’t afraid of jumping in to help." Thank you RCHS Co-op for giving back to your community!
