On Monday, March 11, the RCHS Library will be hosting best-selling author Ruta Sepetys via Zoom. In her first year as RCHS Librarian, Mrs. Julian has collaborated with both the History and English Departments to bring Sepetys' works into the classroom. English classes, as well as the teacher book club, chose to study Sepetys' most recent historical fiction piece, I Must Betray You. This book has won both teachers and students over and has been well received. The History Department's Western Civilization class will be studying her work Salt to the Sea. The RCHS Library would like to thank ERFAE for their generous donation to help bring Ruta Sepetys to the students. The library has copies of all her works available for student checkout also.

In a rematch of last year's Little Illini Conference championship game, the Olney Tigers went head-to-head with the hosting Newton Eagles for the 53rd LIC Tournament title and came home the victors. The #1 seeded Tigers snuck eight points by # 3 Newton to claim the title with a final score of 47-39. The Tigers lead the conference with an 8-0 record and have secured a season record of 22-2 thus far. Congratulations to the coaches and student athletes on a fantastic win!
