The RCHS Stripe of the Month for January was Positive Attitude. The students at RCHS will display a POSITIVE ATTITUDE in and out of the classroom, and on and off the field, court, pitch, diamond, etc. A shout out to First National Bank for sponsoring our STRIPES shirts.

Bowling for the Kids 2023 is needing bowlers on Saturday, February 25th and Sunday, February 26th. Five-member teams needed to support the Mentor Richland County program. See the flyer provided or the Mentor Richland County Facebook page.

The RCHS Student Council is hosting the Winter Dance on February 17th from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym. $5 admission at the door for the semi-formal event.

Due to pending weather we have some changes for tomorrow night's LIC tournament (Tuesday, January 24th). Games have been moved up 1 hour and flip-flopped. Therefore, Casey-Westfield/Newton will start at 5pm and Olney/Lawrenceville will begin at 6:30.

Freshman Orientation will be tonight, Wednesday, January 11, 2023. RCHS Administration and Student Services will host three informational sessions in the Richland County Performing Arts Center (RCPAC). The sessions will take place at the following times:
5:30 - 6:00 (Students with last names A-I)
6:00 - 6:30 (Students with last names J-R)
6:30 - 7:00 (Students with last names S-Z)
All incoming freshmen will receive a folder of information regarding registration for the 2023-24 school year. Students and their parents/guardians will have the opportunity to explore the building and ask questions.
JOIN US FOR DINNER! The Olney FFA Chapter will serve dinner from 5 to 8 p.m.

TSgt Alexander and the Air Force put on an amazing event at Richland County High School in Olney last month! The Air Force event, “Born to Fly”, let the students experience an F35 flight simulator.

Tigers JV/Varsity Girls Basketball in Fairfield will be televised by Wabash. The game will be on Wabash Catch TV cable, as well as on Facebook Live at the Catch TV Live Broadcasting channel.

SRO Ameter is overjoyed by the multitude of donations to the 3rd annual SRO Coat & Hoodie Collection Drive. The drive was held November 7th thru December 12th. Pictured are just some of the donations from the American Legion Riders Post #30, John Joyce's family, and the RCHS Holiday Week of Giving student donations. Over 500 items have been collected.
There will no longer be admittance to RCHS athletic events (basketball, wrestling, etc.) through the Ron Herrin Gym lobby. All RCHS visitors are asked to use the front main doors or the staff entrance when attending any sporting events. Parking is available on both lots with handicap-accessible options. Please refrain from parking on the west side of Ron Herrin Gym (Jefferson Street), this parking is for athletes and coaches only.
