Olney Tiger Athletics ushers in more spring sports this week! On Tuesday, Lady Tiger Varsity Softball will host Cisne at 3:30pm while Lady Tiger JV Softball will be on the road to Casey with their game starting at 4:30pm. Saturday offers many chances to catch some Tiger sports in action. Tiger Tennis will be on the courts in Triad at 8:30am while Tiger Track will be at the Gene Armer Invite in Champaign at 11:30am. Tiger Baseball will be at North Clay with varsity taking the field at 11am and JV facing off against the Cardinals at 12:30pm. On Sunday, Tiger Bass Fishing hits the water at Newton Lake from 1-5pm. Come on out and cheer on your favorite Tigers!

🎶 SUNDAY 🎶 The RCHS Music Department will be hosting the Sliva Dinner & Concert on Sunday, March 10 from 11am-1pm at the Olney VFW. Music will be performed by the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and members of the Honors Wind Ensemble. The menu consists of homemade chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, beverages, and desserts. The cost is $10 each or $5 for those five years old and younger. Mark your calendars so you remember to come out, have some delicious food, hear some music, and support One Tiger Nation's fine arts students!
Mrs. Stallard's Computer Concepts class wrote business letters to numerous colleges requesting college pennants. Here are a couple of pictures of what students have received so far.
Mrs. Kerr's Family & Career Relationships class just completed the Clothing Care & Construction Unit. During this unit, each student used the sewing machines to create a 9-patch pillow.
The Andrew Gobczynski Big Heart Foundation is heart testing the morning of Saturday, April 6 at HSHS St. Anthony. All sophomore, junior, and senior student-athletes are eligible. This includes all fall/winter/spring sport athletes, as well as band members, cheerleaders, and the dance team. This is a free service, paid by the AGBHF and provided by HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital.
Students/parents must fill the packet out and return it to the school office by March 29. HSHS will then contact parents the following week in order to schedule a time for their student-athlete’s heart testing.

The Olney Chamber of Commerce is privileged to have the Illinois Space Grant, University of Illinois Aerospace Engineering Dept, DePaul University, and the Champaign Urbana Astronomical Society coming to Musgrove Park Monday April 8th for the Eclipse. They will be setting up multiple telescopes, launching a weather balloon, handing out NASA gear etc. There will also be other activities as well. The Chamber is looking for groups/ organizations to operate carnival games at the street festival Saturday. Reach out to the Chamber if you have any further questions!

Tri-M will be hosting the Spring Fling Semi-Formal. The dance will take place March 16 in the Auxiliary Gym from 8:30-10pm. Tickets will be $5 at the door. Don't forget to get a form and check with the office if you plan to bring a date that is not a student of RCHS.
Mr. Music's driver's ed classes were visited by members of ABATE of Richland County who spoke about motorcycle safety.
