Tiger Basketball showed up in usual form this week with a winning attitude. The Tigers have won the Duster Thomas Hoops Classic with a 60-53 win over host Pinckneyville. This was the fifth time Olney and Pinckneyville have met in the championship game of the tournament. This win also pushes Olney to the top with five Duster Thomas Hoops Classic titles, Pinckneyville holds four. Also, the Tigers have now won the tournament three years in a row — 2021, 2022, and 2023. In addition to the win, Olney’s Rex Hallam and Ian Winkler were both selected to the all-tournament team. Winkler was also named MVP. What an exciting holiday break for Tiger Basketball!
