School Closure - Extended through April 7th

By order of the governor, extended on March 20th, all Illinois schools are closed through Thursday, April 30th. Below are resources we are sharing to assist everyone during the closure.

(March 30) Transition to Remote Learning Days - Beginning April 2nd

During this period of uncertainty, students and families may find themselves with unusual needs and concerns.  If you need assistance during the school closure, please email schoolclosure@rccu1.net.

Assignments & Resource Materials

Assignments/resource materials will be available both online and in printed form. Teachers will be contacting students through Schoology, Google Classroom, or student email.

Printed resources will also be available for students/families that do not have online access. If you have access to the Internet, we strongly encourage students access materials via Schoology or Google Classroom to reduce the traffic at our building. Packets contain a week's worth of content and can be turned in when students return to school.

Free Meals for All Richland County Students

RCCU #1 is offering FREE 'grab and go' breakfast and lunch for ALL students in Richland County during the weekdays of the mandatory school closure (March 17-March 30).  Meals will be available on a ‘grab and go’ basis at four distribution sites throughout our community.  In order to better help us plan for the distribution of the meals, we are asking that families complete a survey.  Click here for survey.

‘Grab and go’ meals will be available from 10:30 am - 12:00 noon on weekdays Tuesday, March 17- Monday, March 30 at the following locations:

Richland County Middle School - 1099 N. Van St. Olney
